Preparation guide
Try holding Power for 5–7 seconds to start the Pixel. Record any battery graphic, startup logo or other visible response.

Use a known-working charging setup. Check after one minute; if charge may be very low, allow at least another 10 minutes before expecting screen startup.

If the screen stays blank, follow the charging article’s screen check: hold Power for about 35 seconds, then wait about 2 minutes. Stop if the phone restarts earlier.

Try one ordinary incoming call from another phone if available. Record audible ringing separately from what the caller hears; silent mode or no connection can make no-ring results inconclusive.

Look closely for a very dim image without repeatedly pressing buttons. If it audibly rings but remains blank, Google directs authorized repair support.

Check the result
- Save the startup/charging condition that restored the display and back up accessible data.
- For ring-with-blank-screen, contact an authorized repair center. For no response, give Google all completed power checks; lack of ringing alone does not prove power failure.
Stop conditions
- Stop using and charging equipment with swelling, casing separation, smoke, a burning smell or suspected battery damage. Do not open or press on it.
- Set damaged accessories aside. Do not open mains adapters or force connectors.
- Do not erase, reset, flash firmware or bypass a lock as a default diagnostic step.
