Exact fit: Standard Pixel 7 (2022), stock Android

Android 14 December 2023 update or later for Repair Mode. Other checks: stock Android with the named settings available.

Find and confirm your model

Open Settings → About phone and confirm Pixel 7. Check Android version and security update locally. Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 Pro are separate models.

Does not apply to Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 6, custom Android ROM.

Follow the accessory’s discovery instructions. Toggle phone Bluetooth off/on and distinguish a saved device from an actively connected device.

Restart the phone through Power + Volume up → Restart and restart the accessory normally if needed. Keep other paired devices from taking the audio.

In Settings → Connected devices, open the accessory settings and check Media audio, if the accessory supports music. Play the same local track at a comfortable level.

For an accessory that supports calls, inspect Phone audio separately. A working music path does not establish call support.

If available, compare another owned media accessory with the same track. Keep car-manual limitations and accessory-specific failures in the record; no optional diagnostic upload is required.

Check the result

Keep connection state and media/call capability separate. An unsupported music profile is an accessory limitation to confirm with its maker.
Take the affected profile, connected-state and second-accessory comparison to Google or the accessory maker.

Stop conditions

Stop using and charging equipment with swelling, casing separation, smoke, a burning smell or suspected battery damage. Do not open or press on it.
Set damaged accessories aside. Do not open mains adapters or force connectors.
Do not erase, reset, flash firmware or bypass a lock as a default diagnostic step.
